What is a Mission Set?
The national MRC program defines a Mission Set as:
“…a scalable response and recovery capability for MRC units and volunteers that is organized, developed, trained, and exercised prior to an emergency or disaster.”
Capitol Region MRC has defined several Mission Sets based on the risks and threats in our region and the support needs of our emergency response partners. CR-MRC volunteers are encouraged to identify at least one Mission Set they wish to train to. Many of the training requirements are similar across Mission Sets. Some have medical licensing requirements.
Compare your CT Responds profile training record against the Mission Set to identify training goals and objectives. If you have completed a comparable training but don’t see it listed in CT Responds, contact us.
