Our unit trains monthly on a range of topics such as:

  • Incident Command System (ICS)
  • First Aid techniques
  • Blood Borne Pathogens
  • Proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Points of Dispensing (POD) operations
  • Shelter operations
  • Psychological First Aid
  • Emergency response
  • Public health topics

In 2023, CR-MRC received funding to establish the CR-MRC Training Academy that provides American Heart Association courses including Basic Life Support and First Aid free to MRC volunteers. To sign up for a class, contact us.

We also host ad hoc in-depth training sessions for specific missions such as Clinical Support in Long-term Care.
