About Us
The Capitol Region MRC unit has a robust inventory of supplies and equipment to support response missions. To ensure equipment readiness, the CR-MRC trains some of its volunteers to focus on logistical activities such as:
- Maintaining an accurate inventory
- Testing equipment quarterly
- Performing routine maintenance and minor repairs
- Inspecting supplies & equipment pre- and post-deployment for damage and inventory levels
The CR-MRC unit owns special mobile equipment including:
- mobile Cabana unit
- one Kentucky trailer stocked with medical supplies, and
- three smaller cargo trailers for transporting equipment
The mobile Cabana can be requested by regional partners for field deployment at mass gatherings (e.g., golf tournaments, road races, festivals). It is configured to function as a six-bed medical unit complete with cots and triage/first aid supplies. It can also serve as an administrative check point.
The Logistics Team also provides transport of the Medical Aid Station Team (MAST) Go Bags and Basic Life Support/First Aid training supplies to venues.
